Traxxas XO-1 - The World's Fastest Ready-To-Race Supercar. 100+mph top speed!

This is a must watch video for all those remote control speed demons, and this machine is as fast as it gets for a ready to run. I am amazed at the speeds this XO-1 can hit but you have to have a big paved or concrete area to drive it and the surface should be in good condition. Can you imagine hitting a pot hole at 100+mph I don't know what would happen but I sure would love to see a video of it. Well this is my pic for today I think this machine is tons of fun but for the most part it fixes are need for speed.

The XO-1 has a selling price of around $649.99 depending on were you shop, but if you get a chance to get your hands on one of these I do not think you will be unsatisfied at all. Until next time have a great day.

ST Racing Concepts Slash 4×4 1/8th E-Buggy Conversion kit

This was an article I stumbled across while looking at remote control news. I really like what they have to say about this conversion, but I would have to test it myself to see how it really runs. As most racers know that Traxxas is not made to race ,  but they have the bashing down and they do a great job for that. I would love to see a full short coarse race truck I think that would be a huge market for them too. After all they are probably on top when it comes to advertising.
We teased this a while back, but now it’s official. Check out the ST Racing Concepts Slash 4×4 1/8th E-Buggy Conversion kit. Some people call a conversion like this the backslash, but STRC is going with E-Buggy. It’s been a year since their 4×4 LCG Conversion kit, and this conversion is looking just as cool!

Advantages of this conversion are that it’s light weight. Almost 3lbs lighter than most 8th scale buggies, meaning you can use your 2S Lipo, and 550 motor setup and still have a blast. It’s available in blue, red, silver and black. You’ll need to supply the body, tires, wing, and 17mm hex adapters along with some other stuff, but this kit will get you started.

Remote Control Truck Pulling What do You Think?

Here is a good assortment of truck pulling with the weighted sled I think it is very interesting to watch these tractor pulls as they call it. I was just wondering why there are not more of these it seems like these machines are built for the craziest low end power and when they take off they scream. Well just wondering how big of audience really does these truck pulls.

There are ton of videos on Youtube if you want to watch them but I thought this one was pretty good. I like the one with the jet engine even though I thought it would perform a little better it was a cool thin to watch.

Mud bogging with Remote Control Trucks

Well this is definitely different and you have to acquire the this but it is fun to watch. Just imagine taking your truck through this mud pit and how much cleaning you must do after you are done. I guess a pressure washer can fix that. I am thinking about putting a mud pit outside by the off road track, but I can imagine all the mud being brought into the store.

Well hope you like this video and let me know if you think this would be a good idea for the hobby shop.

Thanks to all that made the Stocking Stuffer Classic happen

Just wanted to thank everyone for coming to the Stocking Stuffer Classic we just had yesterday December 21, 2013. Turned out to be an amazing Event with 150 entries and tons of good racing. I would like to thank RC Soup for helping Redneck RC get this event all together. The last race of the night was a Dash for Cash with the winner getting half the money and the other half being donated to the Children's Network. We ran the track backwards but had some interesting rules. If you wrecked and  could not get back to racing (like upside down) and no one helped you after 30 seconds your vehicle was pulled off the track. If you purposely took someone out you were disqualified and if the guy you took out was stuck we would fix his vehicle so he can be back in it. It ended up with three out of ten left and the battle to the end was with 2 trucks I have to say that was a fun race. Well have a great day and hope to see some of you at our next even which we will be announcing soon.

Even though RC racing is tons of fun making a strong push on the market seems to be the 1/5 scale machines that use 2 stroke engines just like the ones you use in your weed eaters. Now they are releasing the electric version which are quite fast but you just can not get the run time. Well here is a little video I thought you rc fans would enjoy.

These have a MAP pricing of 1599.99 but your local hobby shops can sometimes work with you.

Buy Local, Shop Local, Give Local, Love Local

These are some good things to try to build your local business up so not everyone is buying online.

1.       Let the public know you are locally owned and operated! Over 95% of business owners surveyed said that the fact that customers know they are locally owned and operated matters. Put it on your business cards, on your website, and in your advertising.

2.       Don’t let online competition take business from your own backyard. Just because “local matters” doesn’t mean that your online competition isn’t luring customers in with steep discounts and promotions. Do what you can to offer promotions to your local customers.

3.       Utilize your website to draw customers into your store. If you can’t offer your products through e-commerce, then use your online business listing or website to offer printable coupons or, for mobile, electronic coupons that customers coming into your store can use.

4.       Get involved in your local community. Make yourself present at community events and business group meetings. Invest in the community and then let your customers know that you sponsor other local events/teams/businesses by displaying evidence in your store and on your website.

If your city doesn’t have a “buy local first” campaign, or some variation, consider getting together with other local businesses to get one started. The more awareness there is among your local consumers, the more your businesses will benefit, and the more your community will grow. The numbers don’t lie!

Hottest News in Remote Control

Rc drifting is now one of the hottest things to do in Remote Control vehicles. Not only is it a skill these guys take this sport to the limits. They set up drift courses that are incredibly hard to overcome. You have to easy the drift into a corner for style points and usually they have different color markers and the one who gets the closest gets the most points. So throughout this hole course they are getting points for hitting the closest marker and the judge is rating them on there style for drifting. With the combination of both of these things that makes drifting a fun hobby. There is the one aspect that hobby enthusiast really love too and that would be making there cars look as real as they can to scale. Yes they have lights, blinkers, exhaust pipes, grills, mirrors, interior and too many things to list. So now these cars are even being judge by the craftsmanship of the owner. So it is not only the best driver you can roll up with the most pimped out car and take an award away for that too. It really comes down to brag gin rights and how many people love what you have done.

Here is a little taste of what these drifters are out doing to have them some fun hope you enjoy. For any local drifter in the area we do drifting on Tuesday nights at the shop.
